Student visa hours are capped. Student Visa Subclass 500
holders may work only a limited number of hours per fortnight while their
course is in session, with different arrangements during scheduled course
breaks. The current limit and its exceptions are set by the Department of
Home Affairs and do change. We confirm the conditions that apply to each
individual before matching, and we will tell you if a roster you have in
mind does not fit inside them. Building a roster on hours a person cannot
legally work is a problem for the employer, not only for the worker.

Work and Holiday Visa
Young workers here for a defined period, typically mobile, often willing to take regional and seasonal placements that are hard to fill locally. Work rights are broader than a student visa, but the visa itself runs for a limited time and some conditions apply to how long they may stay with one employer.

Student Visa
International students studying in Australia, generally located in and around the major cities, and available for part-time work within a capped number of hours while their course is in session. Useful for consistent part-time coverage rather than full-time roles.
